Farm campsite since 1978 · on the edge of the Veluwe
A small farm campsite near the village of Boshoven: 30 spacious pitches around a flower meadow, cows in the field next door and the forest within walking distance. Camping the way it was meant to be.
De Zomerwei is a true farm campsite: the camping meadow lies behind the farmhouse with open views over the fields. Pitches are spacious (around 120 m²), all with electricity, and caravans, motorhomes and tents mix happily together.
The sanitary building is a converted hay barn: clean, heated and with free hot showers. You will also find a water point at every field, chemical toilet disposal, wifi across the grounds and a little farm shop with fresh eggs and local produce.
Fresh bread rolls every morning (order before 9 at the shop), eggs from our own chickens and vegetables from the garden in season. And in the afternoon the kids can help feed the cows.

Cabins: bed linen for hire (€ 7.50 p.p.), kitchenette and veranda included. Seasonal pitches on request; there is a small waiting list.
De Zomerwei is made for families: a big play meadow with trampoline and football goals, a sandpit by the shop, and egg collecting with the farmer every morning at ten. In the summer holidays there is a kids' activity twice a week, from campfire bread to a forest treasure hunt.
And while the kids take over the farmyard, you sit in front of the tent with a book and a coffee. The pitches are spacious enough to give everyone room, and by ten at night it is genuinely quiet here.
From the campsite you walk into the forest in five minutes; the best routes start literally at the gate. Cyclists reach the junction network towards the heath in ten minutes, and the village of Boshoven (2 km) has a bakery, a supermarket and two friendly terraces.
A little further afield: the sand drifts and wildlife viewing spots of the Veluwe (fifteen minutes by car), the small Hanseatic towns on the edge of the region, and with kids the lookout tower and dusk deer-spotting are the favourites.
Walking and cycling start at the gate: the junction network, marked forest walks and a day trip across the heath. We arrange bike hire in the village; the bikes are delivered to the campsite.

The campsite lies on the Zomerweg, just outside Boshoven on the forest edge; the last 300 metres are a paved farm track.
